More than seven hundred Boulder campus staff turned out on Thursday, Sept. 5 to enjoy sunshine and ice cream on the east terrace of the Center for Community. The event included more than 25 Boulder-area merchants and many campus service providers. To make the event fun as well as informative for the attendees, Staff Council members handed out nearly 37 cases of delicious ice cream snacks. Returning for the fourth year, disc jockey Brandon Brown of CU Distribution Services added great afternoon entertainment.
Vonda Maki and Dominique de Vangel, co-chairs of the Boulder Staff Council’s (BSC) Outreach & Events Committee, would like to thank all the attendees for making this event a nice success. Special thanks to Marc Roth, Retail Operations Manager in Housing and Dining Services for his hard work and contributions to the event’s success.
The BSC’s Outreach Committee will be hosting the Staff Appreciation Breakfast on Dec. 12, 2013. Building on last year’s successful event, the breakfast will feature a Health and Wellness Fair as part of the festivities. Watch for additional information as the event date nears.
