CU-Boulder's Study Abroad program aims to debunk common myths about study abroad at its Feb. 7 spring fair to be held in UMC room 235, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The fair includes presentations that focus on using financial aid and picking a program that fits your budget, boosting career opportunities and more.

Study Abroad 101: Your First Step – Study Abroad 101 is your first advising session: learn about housing options, earning major/minor and A&S core credit abroad, program costs, financial aid and all the essentials of studying abroad as a CU-Boulder student. Study Abroad 101 will be offered during the fair in the UMC Gallery three times: 11:15 – 11:45 a.m., 12:45 - 1:15 p.m., and 2:15 - 2:45 p.m.
Experiential Bonuses – Go beyond the classroom and learn about the other opportunities that study abroad has to offer including internships, volunteer opportunities, excursions and opportunities to conduct your own research: 11- 11:30 a.m. in UMC 245.
Underrepresented student alumni panel – Are you a first-generation college student? A student of color? Historically these groups are underrepresented in study abroad, but that is changing. Hear from students who have done it before and why you should study abroad. Join us from 12 - 12:30 p.m. in UMC 245.
Affording Study Abroad – Think you can’t afford to study abroad? Think shorter programs are the best deal? Think again. Come to this session to learn about affordable programs, scholarship opportunities, using financial aid and more: 12:30 - 1 p.m. in UMC 245.
Go Global & Boost your Career – Learn how you can use your international experience, such as study abroad, to enhance your marketability and improve your resume. Make your job application stand out to future potential employers: 1:30 - 2 p.m. in UMC 245.
