Family Weekend at the University of Colorado Boulder begins Friday, Sept. 30, and includes a slate of on-campus events to showcase the university's programs, resources and faculty.

More than 1,600 families are registered for the event hosted by the CU-Boulder Parents Association and the Office of Parent Relations. There are a limited number of tickets remaining for walk-up registrations.

Registrants will have many opportunities to explore campus life, including a golf tournament and the fifth annual Buffalo Family Stampede 5K run, as well as the CU football matchup and Pac-12 home opener against Washington State University. Campus and community tours also will be offered. Participants can attend numerous on-campus events including faculty presentations on "The Future of Journalism in the Age of Twitter and Murdoch" and "U.S. Human Space Missions: Beyond the Space Shuttle Era." Visitors also are invited to a welcome brunch with CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano.
