Audience members will be asked to help weigh objects in air and water and create strange fluids from household items during the first CU Wizards show of the fall semester on Sept. 18 at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

CU-Boulder faculty members Janet deGrazia of chemical engineering and Jean Hertzberg of mechanical engineering will present "Go With The Flow" at 9:30 a.m. in Cristol Chemistry and Biochemistry Building room 140. The presentation illustrates the mysterious properties of several fluids, some of which move very slowly and others that move at supersonic speeds.

The CU Wizards series is an annual, nine-month-a-year program that introduces audiences to astronomy, chemistry and physics. Though intended primarily for students in grades five through nine, the shows are educational and entertaining for people of all ages.
