Registration is underway for Session 2 credit courses through the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

All session 2 Monday and Wednesday evening courses begin Oct. 27 and end Dec. 10. Tuesday and Thursday evening courses begin Oct. 28 and end Dec. 16. Most Session 2 courses are three to four credit hours.

Students who are interested in education courses may want to enroll in the “Workshop in Curricular and Instructional Development: The Art of Creative Teaching.”

James Downing, author of the recently published book “Creative Teaching,” will teach the course using concepts described in his book.

“This class is unique because there is a high amount of student presentation and student participation,” Downing said.

Creative Teaching will present an innovative teaching-learning model based on creative learning and scientific cycles that can be applied to all subject areas, from kindergarten to college.

Students will be able to choose their focus of interest and develop their own personal styles.

Classes are offered in the evening to accommodate nontraditional students who have families and jobs. Many courses fulfill core requirements in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Continuing Education catalog lists all the classes offered for fall and is free at the Continuing Education Registration Office, 1221 University Ave.
