Registration is under way for summer credit courses in the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

The program is offering both five-week and eight-week evening classes so students will have time to enjoy other summer activities.

The more intense five-week course session on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights begins on June 3 and ends on July 3. The eight-week course session for Monday and Wednesday night classes begins on June 2 and ends on July 23. Tuesday and Thursday night classes for the eight-week session begin June 3 and end July 24.

The cost for Colorado residents is $90 per credit hour. Nonresidents pay $170 per credit hour, and nonresident tuition rises for courses totaling four or more credit hours. Most summer session courses are three to four credit hours.

New courses offered this summer include “Special Topics: Creativity,” “American Political Thought” and “Economics In Action: The Telecommunications and Internet Industry.”

Classes are offered in the evening to accommodate students who have full-time day jobs. Many courses fulfill core requirements in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Continuing Education catalog lists all classes offered for summer and is free at the Continuing Education Registration Office, 1221 University Ave.
