A degree verification is not a diploma; it lists the student's degree on Office of the Registrar letterhead and bears the registrar's seal and signature.
Verifications of degree can be ordered by current and former students or third parties by emailing a request to email@example.com with the student's name, date of birth and the mailing or email address to which the verification should be sent.
Degree verifications requests are processed in the order in which they are received, and take two to three business days to process.
There are three different ways a student can prove receipt of a degree from CU-Boulder:
To change your name or update your record, you must complete the Name Change and Record Update Form and return it to the Office of the Registrar with a scanned copy of valid photo identification. See Change Your Name or Address for more information.
The procedures required to change your major, college or school are set by each department. See Changing Your Major and consult your desired department to complete the requirements.
Students pursuing a concurrent bachelor's/master's degree will be automatically changed to graduate status after the completion of 130 credit hours (or 145 credit hours for a student in the College of Engineering and Applied Science). The Title IV Higher Education regulations require that an institution determine when a student has progressed from undergraduate to graduate status. See Concurrent Bachelor's/Master's (BAMA) Program for more information.
The Office of the Registrar will offer limited services on Tuesday, Oct. 13, due to a staff retreat. We will attempt to assist with all requests that day; however, if necessary we will contact customers the following day.
As a student at CU-Boulder, you have rights regarding the access to and disclosure of information in your education record. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) affords you:
