Scholarships for CU Boulder Students
New Student & Family Programs offers scholarships to continuing or transfer CU Boulder students. These $2,500, merit based, non-renewable scholarships are awarded annually and disbursed at $1,250 in the fall semester and $1,250 in the spring semester. Based on academic excellence, extracurricular activities and a personal essay, full-time enrollment at CU Boulder is required while receiving this scholarship. Advanced or challenging courses are desirable.
- Continuing or transfer CU Boulder student with sophomore, junior, or senior status for the 2026-27 academic year
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA for continuing students (no GPA requirement for transfer students)
- Full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours/semester)

Complete the following supplemental scholarship as part of your application: In 500-650 words, please share some advice you would provide to a student who was planning to attend to CU Boulder on how to be most successful in their transition to CU. Please recommend ways they can make this new campus feel like their home.
