Buffalo Can Challenge (BUCC)
The Buffalo Can Challenge (BUCC) held April 25, 2008 in Carlson Gym was a great success. Fourteen team registered, 10,000-11,000 cans were collected (9, 201 pounds) and all donated to Community Food Share to fight hunger in Boulder County. The winners were:
Most Creative:
Tie between Farrand Hall for "Non Violence with the Peace Symbol" and The Architects for the "Laptop"
Best Large:
Access Colorado for "The Pathway to Education"
Best Small:
LASP Engineers for the "Rocket Ship"
Most Likely to Withstand an Earthquake:
Alpha Epsilon Delta for the "Physics Ring"
Best Use of Color:
Quad Squad for the "Flatirons and Farrand Field"
Best No Build:
CU Pan-Hellenic and Inter-Fraternity Council for collecting over 4,500 cans to be used by the other teams
