Grade Repeat Policy for IUT Admission

NOTE:  This policy only applies to the Pre-Fall 2017 IUT Criteria.  

If a course or equivalent course was repeated at CU-Boulder, only the most recent grade will be included in BOTH the cumulative and technical GPA’s

Important Notes:

• The College of Engineering and Applied Science only allows a student three attempts of a single course (or equivalent course) at the required level for degree requirements.
  • A Withdraw (W) does count as one of the three allowable attempts.
• GPA recalculations for repeated classes only apply for IUT admission purposes. CU-Boulder does not have grade replacement and the true GPA will include both original and repeated course grades.
• Any grades earned prior to ten years from the date of IUT application will not be considered in the GPA calculator.

The College reserves the right to revise these IUT rules or criteria as it finds necessary.
