- Efforts are underway to recruit a leader who can effectively serve as a liaison between CU Boulder and the city of Boulder, Boulder County, surrounding municipalities, local business and community groups.
- Open enrollment began April 19. Visit open enrollment fair sites to learn more about vendor offerings from plan providers including Anthem, Kaiser, Delta Dental and PERA.
- Terri Fiez, vice chancellor for research and innovation, has announced that Philip Makotyn has been named executive director of the campus’s CUbit Quantum Initiative.
- Under a new two-year tuition assistance benefit pilot program, eligible CU Boulder employees taking undergraduate or graduate courses may register seven days before the start of the semester or on the first day of class, whichever is earlier.
- Following the University of Colorado system-wide announcement that COVID-19 vaccination will be required of students, faculty and staff, CU Boulder is providing initial details and a timeline for the campus.
- The University Libraries will resume borrowing of physical InterLibrary Loan materials to CU Boulder faculty and staff beginning Saturday, May 1.
- Venture Partners at CU Boulder has launched an accelerator to support the translation of CU-developed COVID-19 innovations into new businesses. Faculty, students and staff with COVID-19-related innovations are invited to apply—the deadline is May 21.
- Rental books may be returned in person or via mail by May 7. The CU Book Store also is offering textbook sellback April 26–May 7 for any physical textbooks purchased. Get details.
- Provost Russell Moore named Lolita Buckner Inniss dean of the University of Colorado Law School. Buckner Inniss will become Colorado Law’s first African American dean and second female to lead the school.
