Please allow 24-hours for a response and 1-2 business days for orders to be completed unless specified otherwise.

Crop Instructions

There are different methods of creating an image or file for printing: cameras, scanners, apps on tablets, etc. The aspect ratio used to acquire or create an image doesn't always match the aspect ratio for a standard print size. You can choose to create your own custom size for printing, or use a standard print size with instructions for how to get your image to fit.

Crop 2: crop image to fit print sizeCROP to fit: select this option if you want the lab staff to crop your image to fit the selected print size. 
Crop 3: reduce image to fit print sizeREDUCE image to fit print size. Image is not cropped. Margins will appear on either the sides or the top/bottom of the image.

Margin Instructions

Indicate if you would like to add margins to your prints

A borderless image example

BORDERLESS: image is trimmed to the edges of the submitted file. No margins. 

(select this option if you added your own margins when you created the file!)

 

Add margins to print by reducing image size

ADD MARGINS: add even margins all around the file - reduce the image size and retain the requested print size

Example: Print size requested is 8x10 inches. Add 1-inch margins. Image will be reduced to 6x8 inches and the final print size is 8x10in.

Example: Print size requested is 8x10 inches. Add 1-inch margins. Image will be 8x10 and the final print size is 10x12in.

How should we add margins to your files?
Cost Notification
 
 
Do you want to be notified via email of the final cost of your print? Note: notification will delay production time.
Upload one file at a time if you have different instructions for each file. Upload multiple files if you want every file printed the same way (same size, material, margins, crop, etc)
One file only.
Allowed types: gif jpg jpeg png bmp eps tif pict psd pdf doc ppt zip.
100 MB limit per file. The accumulated size of all files in this form cannot exceed 1 GB.

  • Printing is done on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Order turnaround is 48 business hours. The lab is not open on weekends, University holidays, or University breaks
  • Check the Print Lab's open hours to verify that we can meet your deadline
  • I have read and understand the Print Lab's Refund Policy 
  • Payment is due at the time of pickup. Cards only, no cash, checks (American Express not accepted)
  • Prints must be picked up within 7 days of notification that the print is ready
  • Prints that are not picked up and paid for within 7-days will be charged a 50% interest charge or a minimum $50 charge (whichever is less) through the University Bursar's Office.
