Phaedra Pezzullo

Phaedra C. Pezzullo is an associate professor in the Department of Communication, as well as an Associate Faculty member of Environmental Studies and an Affiliate Faculty member of Media Studies. She is an internationally known scholar with interdisciplinary expertise in the humanities and sciences, focusing on environmental communication, environmental and climate justice, social movements, tourist studies, qualitative methods, and public advocacy. Pezzullo is widely published, including multiple books. Pezzullo serves as a founding Co-Director of C3BC (Creative Climate Communication & Behavior Change Center) and the Just Transition Collaborative. She earned her PhD in 2002 from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and her B.S. in Natural Resource Sciences and B.A. in Social Thought & Political Economy in 1996 from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
