Facilities Management is in charge of making sure campus runs smoothly and sustainably. FM manages the two campus power plants, which utilize cogeneration and natural gas to decrease carbon emissions; pesticides and synthetic fertilizers have been dropped from turf management in favor of compost tea; all new buildings are designed to reach a LEED Gold rating, or better; and campus composting and recycling is constantly increasing campus diversion rates.
