Student Affairs Financial Services

Utilizing collective expertise in the areas of finance, human resources, and compliance issues, our mission is to effectively provide budgetary guidance and policy interpretation in an effort to support the Division of Student Affairs.

We provide the following services to the Division of Student Affairs:

The Student Affairs Financial Services works closely with the Division of Student Affairs to support and facilitate financial decisions, such as:

  • Generating an annual report of the divisions unrestricted net position to present to the provost
  • Advising Executive Council on the availability and use of funds
  • Providing business protocol analysis and best-practice advising

The Student Affairs Financial Services offers support to directors to maintain procurement purchasing in support of the unit’s programming needs, such as:

  • Producing Concur expense reports, reviewing and reconciling revenue and expense transactions
  • Generating and approving journal entries to move budget transactions as need to accomplish departmental business

The Student Affairs Financial Services acts as a policy resource for Student Affairs departments and provide interpretation of campus and university fiscal policies as well as Colorado state statues and federal tax law.

The Student Affairs Financial Services provides support to departments in Student Affairs as it relates to position creation and funding, the recruitment process, and payroll for all professional and student/temporary employees.
