Student Life Financial Services

Utilizing collective expertise in the areas of finance, human resources, and compliance issues, our mission is to effectively provide budgetary guidance and policy interpretation in an effort to support the Division of Student Life.

We provide the following services to the Division of Student Life:

Student Life Financial Services works closely with the Division of Student Life to support and facilitate financial decisions, such as:

  • Generating an annual report of the divisions unrestricted net position to present to the provost
  • Advising Executive Council on the availability and use of funds
  • Providing business protocol analysis and best-practice advising

Student Life Financial Services offers support to directors to maintain procurement purchasing in support of the unit’s programming needs, such as:

  • Producing Concur expense reports, reviewing and reconciling revenue and expense transactions
  • Generating and approving journal entries to move budget transactions as need to accomplish departmental business

Student Life Financial Services acts as a policy resource for Student Affairs departments and provide interpretation of campus and university fiscal policies as well as Colorado state statues and federal tax law.

Student Life Financial Services provides support to departments in Student Affairs as it relates to position creation and funding, the recruitment process, and payroll for all professional and student/temporary employees.
