Jade has worked at CU Boulder for over 10 years beginning as a business assistant at the Department of Computer Science and serving over six years at the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) as a Senior Regional Affiliate Manager, where she supported computer scientists, faculty, teachers, students and volunteers to close the gender gap within the fields of technology and create a community for women, genderqueer and nonbinary technologists throughout K-12, higher education and into the workforce. Jade previously served two terms as Co-Chair of CU Boulder's Staff Council, where she championed the rights, workplace protections and well-being of staff at CU. Among her many achievements, she led the successful implementation of the first paid parental leave program at the University of Colorado with the support of the Board of Regents.

Beyond her impressive work in student and worker advocacy, Jade is also a model, an icon, a saxophonist and a devoted mother to four badly behaved cats: Grandma, Foot Foot, Mini Mall and Gilgamesh.
