Staff update from the University Memorial Center
Jill McWilliams was recently named the evening event and guest relations coordinator at the University Memorial Center (UMC). In this role, Jill provides high-level guest service for events and visitors in the building after normal business hours. She also helps answer questions and solve issues as they arise. Jill has been with the university nearly 21 years and previously worked as the UMC reception desk coordinator. When not at work, Jill enjoys reading, watching a little TV and taking naps blanketed in dogs!
New hall directors join Residence Life

- Shane Guinan (he/him/his) is from New Jersey, where he attended Rutgers University earning both a bachelor’s degree and a Masters of Education in College Student Affairs. While at Rutgers, Shane worked as a hall director before working at Salisbury University in Maryland as an area director. Shane most recently served as the undergraduate program manager in the Department of Biochemistry here at CU Boulder. Shane will live in Williams Villiage East, our new residence hall opening up next month!
- Zach Stroth (he/him/his) joins CU after the completion of his Masters in Educational Leadership from Texas Christian University where he served as a hall director for Fraternity & Sorority Life. Originally from Kansas City, Zach attended Kansas State University earning his Bachelors of Science in Family Studies & Human Services. The next two years, Zach worked for his fraternity, Delta Chi, as a senior leadership consultant. Zach is looking forward to building community in Will Vill!
- Victoria Pietsch (she/her/hers) joins the Buff family after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with minors in English and Philosophy at Regis University. Erin also completed her Masters of Education in Counseling-Student Affairs from Northern Arizona University. While at NAU, Victoria served as a graduate assistant hall director and as an intern for Veteran & Military Services. She looks forward to working with our student leaders to help make CU home for all students.
- Erin Phillips (She/Her/Hers) joins the CU family after working as a hall director for Louisiana State University. Originally from Westerville, Ohio, Erin attended Ohio University for both her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in mathematics and a Diversity Studies Certificate and her Masters of Education in College Student Personnel. Erin is most excited about the opportunity to build a strong community in the Quad with the help of her RAs!
