Kevin Hines to speak at CU Boulder

On Monday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m., the Cultural Events Board will host Kevin Hines in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom.This event is free and open to the public. Kevin Hines, who survived a suicide attempt by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge, inspires and educates others about living mentally healthy in the hopes of preventing more suicides. Kevin’s documentary “Suicide: The Ripple Effect” will be also shown on campus on Thursday, Nov. 8 in VAC 1B20. The screening will begin at 6 p.m.

Volunteer opportunity: Better Boulder Day of Service

Staff, faculty and students are invited to spend Saturday, Nov. 10 working with various organizations to complete a service project on campus or in the community. There are multiple projects to choose from, and food and transportation will be provided. The deadline to sign up for a project is Nov. 7 - view all service projects and sign up for the Better Boulder Day of Service. Contact the Volunteer Resource Center with questions.
