New Student Affairs Interns

Last spring, we announced a new partnership between our division and the University of Denver’s Morgridge College of Education.  This partnership creates opportunities for graduate students to gain student affairs practitioner experience at a large public university, and we are excited to introduce the four graduate student interns from DU’s Masters of Arts in Higher Education program:

Elizabeth Fraser - Health Promotion

Elizabeth Fraser

Elizabeth Fraser has a Bachelor of Arts in public health from Elon University.  Her undergraduate degree in public health combined with her master’s program make her a natural fit for Health Promotion.  As part of her fellowship, she is interested in expanding her skills in program development, health equity and social justice.  Currently, she is supervising three Health Promotion interns and assisting with the Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students program.

Nohemi Mora - Residence Life

Nohemi Mora

Hello, my name is Nohemi Mora and I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I also stayed in Dallas to attend Southern Methodist University and studied Environmental Engineering, so I’m very excited to have moved to Colorado! Can’t wait to get familiar with its outdoor rec offerings! As an undergrad I was heavily involved in our Latino student union, College Hispanic American Students, CHAS for short, as well as organizations in our Community Engagement and Leadership Center and our Women & LGBT Center. I’m currently a graduate student at the University of Denver, pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education Administration. I am looking forward to being a part of, and learning from, the team that will enact such purposeful pillars established as the foundation for Hallett Hall to better serve the students at CU.

Emanuel Oliver - Student Support and Case Management

Emanuel Oliver

Emanuel comes to Colorado after completing his undergraduate work at Florida State University where he got his first glimpse into the field of Student Affairs while working at Florida State’s Disability Services Office. Emanuel is working with Student Support and Case Management supporting student success through connecting students with university resources.  The early snowfall this season has made Emanuel second guess his move to Colorado, but he is excited to dive into work with CU students!

Edi Hernandez - Gender and Sexuality Center

Edi Hernandez

My name is Edi Hernandez I’m a MA student at the University of Denver. I’m also the Graduate Intern at Gender and Sexuality Office. I have conducted research in the perceptions of masculinity of Queer and Straight Latin Men.

Please welcome and introduce yourselves to our new interns as you see them around campus!
