Stewart Elliott

Captain Elliott is a native of Boulder, Colorado and graduate of the University of Colorado NROTC Program. Following his commissioning as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy, he was assigned to Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training in January 1985, graduating with Class 133 in July 1985.
His commanding officer assignments include: Naval Special Warfare Unit THREE, Manama Bahrain; SEAL Team FOUR, Virginia Beach, VA; Naval Special Warfare Unit TWO, Stuttgart, Germany, and his Major Command assignment as the Commodore, Naval Special Warfare Center, Coronado, CA.
His operational tours include: SEAL Teams THREE, FOUR and FIVE; Naval Special Warfare Unit TWO, Machrihanish, Scotland /Stuttgart, Germany; SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team TWO, Virginia Beach, VA; Joint Special Operations Command, Fayetteville, NC.
Other assignments include the Naval War College, Newport RI; Joint Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA; Naval Special Warfare Center Diving Phase Officer/ Director of Training, and the Naval Special Warfare Command Chief of Staff, Coronado, CA.
He attended the University of Colorado, National University and the Naval War College, earning a Bachelor’s Degree, Master Degree in Public Administration and a Master's Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. Additionally, he completed over 20 military/civilian schools.
His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit (three awards), Bronze Star Medal (two awards), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (six awards) and various unit and service awards.
