Laura Arroyo named new director of Housing Administration

In her new role beginning March 3, Laura Arroyo (she, her, hers) will oversee the Children’s Center, Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations and Occupancy Management. Laura will also work collaboratively across the division and campus to support co-curricular experiences of our students. Laura has worked as an associate director in Residence Life for the past three years and has 15 years of experience in student affairs. In addition to her role at CU, she serves as the midlevel-elect at large for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Governing Board and is pursuing a doctoral degree in Leadership & Educational Equity with a concentration in Global & Diverse Communities.

Andrea Barsch is retiring

After more than 25 years at CU Boulder, Andrea will retire on March 4. With the exception of 18 months, Andrea has dedicated her entire Physical Therapy career on the Boulder campus making students and their health and wellness a

priority. 

Andrea started as a staff physical therapist in 1994, and served several years as the JCAHO coordinator at Wardenburg Health Center and the manager of the Physical Therapy department. The Physical Therapy department has morphed and changed over the years, and today she is the assistant director of Physical Therapy and Integrative Care department of Medical Services, which houses physical therapy, chiropractic services, nutrition, acupuncture, massage therapy and orthopedics. Andrea has collaborated with various departments on campus over the years and has touched the lives of thousands of students.

The Environmental Center was recognized at the NACUBO annual meeting

The Environmental Center, along with other campus partners, was featured for their sustainability projects at the annual meeting of the National Association of College & University Business Officers (NACUBO). The projects were included on a poster highlighting the collective efforts of the CU Innovation & Efficiency Awards Program, and was well received at the conference.
