The campus community’s participation in the Staff Council blood drives has made CU Boulder not only Vitalant’s top education account, but also the top overall account among all blood drive hosts in Colorado over the last few years!
Our current drive is currently underway through September 6th, so let’s continue to save lives and positively impact our community in 2020.
“CU Blood Drive Week” is moving off campus to Vitalant’s Boulder and Westminster donation centers August 22 – September 6. All donors are encouraged to make an appointment and must be feeling well and healthy at the time of their donation. Please check the latest requirements and safety precautions at vitalant.org. Masks/face coverings are required.
Donors who send a photo of themselves wearing CU-logoed apparel during their donation can enter to win one of four $50 Amazon gift cards*. To enter the drawing, please send your CU pride blood donation photo to staffcouncil@colorado.edu by September 7.

As an additional donor benefit, Vitalant is the first national blood collector to test all successful (complete) blood donations for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
*Gift cards are considered taxable income for CU faculty and staff.
