Dear Strategic Resources and Support team,
I was thrilled by the turnout at our SRS employee appreciation event on Wednesday, and I was especially grateful for those of you I saw volunteering during commencement week to make it such a special event for our graduates and their families.
As the rush of excitement from commencement week begins to wane, I hope you are able to reflect on a year of accomplishments that culminated with the conferral of 6,852 undergraduate degrees, 1,763 master’s degrees, 141 MBAs, 194 law degrees and 463 doctoral degrees. These are the leaders and innovators we help to shape here with our work and who will go on to impact humanity in numerous ways.
Looking forward/prioritizing well-being
While we know we have work ahead of us to transform the way the university operates to set us up for long-term, sustainable success, I ask that all of you find time this month or in the coming weeks to prioritize some time for your own well-being.
In the notes below, you’ll find a pulse survey about health and well-being. I want to hear how you’re doing and how well you’re able to use the services we provide on campus so that we can look at ways to continue to support you. We arrive at weeks like commencement only through the dedicated efforts of our staff and faculty who make our students’ success possible, and I recognize that all of that must start from a baseline of well-being.

With gratitude for all you do,
