Buff Portal is CU Boulder’s new online student portal that is replacing the student tab in MyCUInfo on December 30, 2019. Buff Portal is developing into a comprehensive online experience that will serve as a one-stop-shop to enhance how students find the resources they need to succeed and thrive at CU Boulder.
Since the “beta” version of Buff Portal launched in March 2019, students have been using it and offering feedback, which SRS staff has then used to guide their updates and redesigns. The next big milestone will occur on Dec. 30, 2019, when the new Buff Portal will move out of “beta,” and the student tab of MyCUInfo will be retired. When students return to campus for spring semester, Buff Portal will be the official student portal.
Buff Portal follows an iterative design process and is being built in-house in close collaboration with students and staff to empower CU Boulder to respond to the ever-changing needs of our campus. The project team regularly receives feedback from students about Buff Portal and is able to quickly respond to these requests. This has resulted in a positive student response to Buff Portal, with students describing it as an intuitive tool that simplifies CU processes.
