The Department offers a minor in Spanish and a minor in Portuguese. The minor will help students gain an understanding of the Portuguese and or Spanish languages as well as a grasp of main cultural concepts, practices, and current literary and cultural trends.
In a global economy and competitive market environment a Spanish or Portuguese minor adds value to an existing CU degree. Cultural and linguistic competence broadens a student's understanding of the nuances and complexities of today's world. Spanish, Portuguese and English are the most spoken languages in the Western Hemisphere.
