Research Interests
I have two main research interests. First, I'm interested in the representation of people with marginalized identities in media, especially how the various characteristics of media portrayals impact in-group viewer's feelings of belonging and out-group viewer's prejudice and stereotypes. Second, I study the ways in which cultural stereotypes and prejudice of marginalized people adapt in order to maintain SES hierarchies.
