About

The Sustainability, Energy and Environment Community (SEEC) serves as a flagship hub for CU Boulder's environmental community, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, government researchers, industry partners, and the broader public. The building unites researchers and programs that were once spread across 17 campus buildings, replacing outdated facilities with a modern, collaborative environment designed to support world-class teaching, research, and innovation.

Unique among university buildings, SEEC also houses federal laboratories, placing leading energy and environmental researchers alongside CU Boulder faculty and students. This close collaboration strengthens research partnerships, expands opportunities for federally funded projects, and helps align the university's work with national priorities in sustainability, energy, and environmental science.
