Jenny Kim

As Program Manager for the McNair Baccalaureate Program at CU Boulder, I feel honored to serve incredible first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented scholars in their journey toward graduate school. I coordinate programming including research opportunities, mentorships, and graduate school preparation. I’m excited to be a part of the SASC & TRiO team to support our students together.

I earned my BA in Rhetoric and MA in Education from UC Berkeley, where I directed student programs and fell in love with working with college students. Having mentored hundreds of exceptional students, I experienced how transformative these four years can be - walking with students in their journeys, learning from them, and celebrating many happy graduations. I worked with UC Berkeley's McNair Scholars Program, where I met such remarkable students & staff and wanted to someday work with these scholars. A rare thing, I got my wish!  Go Buffs!

My passion is seeing students thrive, developing leaders and supporting first-generation college students. I believe the best leaders emerge from backgrounds that require grit and resilience.
