We dedicate this performance to Chas Wetherbee

Chas Wetherbee

(July 14, 1966- Jan 9, 2023)

“The Haydn Opus 74, No. 1 is an exceptionally cheerful piece, and one might wonder if it puts the players in a slightly awkward position to play something so cheerful as a memorial for Chas. But he was such a vibrant person and so full of positive energy, that actually he would have loved having this piece played in his memory.” Edward Dusinberre

“Chas composed his final note last night. . .I know now that his life’s work was a symphony, of the grandest and sweeping and lyrical beauty, and each note of that music was made up of all the millions of interactions he had with every person who entered his life.” Karina Wetherbee

“You were a generous, open-hearted, wise, and patient friend. You were the best colleague anyone can have.”David Korevaar
