RASEI is a joint institute between the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the University of Colorodo Boulder (CU Boulder). This is centrally represented in the full RASEI logo. Where possible we request that the full RASEI logo, including the CU Boulder and NREL logos is used to formally represent this research institute. It is understood that there are occasions where either space or size make the full logo unsuitable, and we have supplied a single line alternative, but we ask that this is considered the exception and not the norm.

Sizing and Spacing

The full RASEI logo has a great deal of detail with the CU Boulder and NREL logos at the base. If this logo is rendered, or printed, too small, much of the detail will be lost and be illegible. Please use the guidelines below to determine what is needed for your use case.

Size guidelines for the different RASEI logos

The RASEI logo should not be crowded or overlap with other logos. We recommend that the radius of the seal is used as a guide around all sides of the RASEI logo.

Contrast and Readability

The formal RASEI logo has been designed to be used on a white, or light colored, background. When used on a dark background, the logo can be difficult to make out. While the full color version of the RASEI logo is the preferred logo, and the one we encourage folks to use, we also supply a logo in white for occasions where a dark background is required.
