RASEI acts as a hub to convene scientists and engineers from across a broad spectrum of disciplines. We have developed a number of mechanisms to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing. We exist in a time where virtual meetings are easier than ever before, and while we offer hybrid options for all our meetings, we have built a series of programs directed at bringing together teams.
Convening communities, either to build new teams or strengthen existing teams, has a multitude of benefits. Improved communication, building trust and understanding, facilitating innovation, sharing diverse perspectives, and providing space for unstructured interactions are all effective methods to improve coordination, encourage diverse participation, share and develop knowledge and develop new solutions.
The Big Energy Seminar Series, which has been running for over a decade, provides a forum to bring energy-focused researchers from across a broad cross-section of disciplines to Boulder to discuss their work.
The Nozik Lecture Series, established in 2022, brings a world leader in energy research to Boulder each year to provide a keynote address to the wider community.
RASEI supports the hosting of conferences in Colorado, working with community members to facilitate national and international conferences in Boulder.
