Access
Most RAPs have a single Program Coordinator who will need access to numerous campus computer systems. RAP Directors and other faculty or staff may also need some of the access below depending on their role or function within the RAP.
Some systems are used by all four campuses, some are Boulder campus specific, and some are specific to the service department providing the tool or database.
Most RAP Coordinators will need access to: CU SIS, DATC (Degree Audit), Finance, HCM (Payroll), CIW (data warehouse for reporting), and CU Marketplace.
Start with this page: UIS Request Access. Note that you will use the links on the left near the bottom; the links on the right are for CU System offices only.
This page, Campus Access Coordinators, describes the different systems and gives precise contact information for the Boulder campus coordinators.
For some access requests, such as CU-SIS or Finance, you could ask the access coordinator to use the previous Program Coordinator's access template since you have their position now and necessarily need the same levels of access. This could also apply for a new Director or Associate Director.
If you are wanting to increase your level of access or to request access for a position that has never had it before, be prepared to provide a written business case as to why access to that system and/or at that specific level is needed.
Note that some systems have separate campus coordinators for functions within the system, thus requiring separate access requests. For example, if you want CU-SIS access to see student bills (to check that their RAP fee is correctly applied), you will need to request access from the Bursar's Office; your access to CU-SIS to build courses through the Registrar's Office is not enough.
Many types of access will not be granted until the appropriate training is completed.
