On Saturday, September 21, new and returning CU Puksta Scholars joined 60 other scholars from across the state at the University of Denver to network and work on theme of resiliency. Our keynote and workshop leader was Dr. Abbie Beacham, who is Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and directs their School of Medicine Resilience Program. Her workshop focused on "Grit," offering a broad definition that enabled students to identify the ways in which they were resilient and challenges they have or may face.
