The Human Bio-Behavioral Signals Lab (HUBBS) is seeking motivated undergraduate students to

 join our team for paid research opportunities on human-centered artificial intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our research projects by conducting data pre-processing and analysis, including performing behavioral coding and working with audio data. Interested students will conduct research during Fall 2025.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work with audio data, including transcription and coding.
  • Conduct behavioral coding on team interactions using established coding schemes.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of research studies.
  • Collaborate with the research team to interpret and present findings.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of research activities.

Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in handling and analyzing (audio) data.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Strong skills in behavioral coding and familiarity with coding software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
