Jean Gore

"Alternatives to Violence"

Jean Gore has served as the President of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. Her work in creating alternatives to violence has taken her to the Soviet Union, China, Guatemala, and Cuba where she has participated in projects to further women’s and indigenous rights and to promote a culture of peace.

Jean's digital story "Alternatives to Violence " was created in April 2010 as part of Dr. Kayann Short's "Innovative Approaches to Contemporary Issues through Service" course for the INVST Community Leadership Program.
