Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin, Jr. and Eric Carle

Five 3D printed pages that have been painted, showing different animals from the book

These tactile animal prototypes were inspired by the animals in Brown Bear, Brown Bear. It was part of a semester long

project at Mountain Lakes Public Library Makerspace. Each animal was designed in Tinkercad and final designs were adapted into a tactile page format by Jacqueline Edwards.

Designer Notes:

These animals are depicted with a front facing head and a side-view of the body in order to make their features more recognizable. Braille will be included in future prototypes to label specific parts of each animal, and the animals will be printed onto a 2mm wide page, which will have the braille text on it.
