Chris has lived at the crossroads of education and healthcare for more than twenty years, proudly serving as a physician, a secondary/tertiary educator, and a researcher for resilience programming in youth. He joined CU Boulder as a Pre-Health Advisor in the summer of 2026, and is excited to help launch the next generation of health professionals!
Chris began his training at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and developed a lifelong passion for serving those in need. Upon graduation from Notre Dame, Chris pursued his Doctor of Medicine at Loyola University and entered a competitive residency at Northwestern University. Chris specialized in emergency medicine, enjoying patient care for more than a decade, while simultaneously spearheading several projects involving medical student education and securing resources for underserved populations.
Chris recognized his expansive love for student learning. Ultimately, this led to a life changing moment where Chris transitioned from “the clinic to the classroom.” He spent the next several years earning a teaching license, Masters of Education, and both authored and taught two novel science courses at the secondary level (e.g., Foundations of Medicine and Human Physiology). Eventually, Chris combined both careers and passions by serving as a Senior Advisor for health-related issues in school and universities, as well as community-based organizations.
Outside of work, Chris loves spending time river tubing, hiking, and skiing with his family; as well as contemplating some of the world’s most complicated problems with his genius golden retriever.
