Department of Communication

I received my PhD and was graduate instructor in the communication department, currently teaching Discourse, Culture and Identity. My research interests center on organizing and processes of policy, bureaucracy, and authority, particularly in the financial and technology industries. In the past, I have focused specifically on organizing processes of “compliance” in the regulatory landscape of financial institutions. I have a BA in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a MA in Organizational Communication from CU Boulder. I hope to continue to explore the role of discourse in creating organizational and social life.
