Graduated with MA in 2020

I completed my MA  in the Department of Linguistics. My current research interests are in linguistic anthropology, sociolinguistic analysis, and pragmatics of discourse. More specifically, I seek to gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between subjectivity and stancetaking in discourse and media communications. I am also interested in issues related to bilingualism, code-switching, and negotiation of cultural and social identities in the context of globalization. Prior to the study of linguistics, my educational and professional experience was in the fields of architecture and publications editing.
