I am interested in sociolinguistics, identity, conversation analysis, and computational linguistics. My primary language and culture interest is Korean. My secondary language interest is Japanese, which is similar but different compared to Korean language and culture. I am interested in English language trends in a monolingual country like Korea, and my current research is to investigate ideological social structure in Korean society related to English language and American culture through media lenses.
