Devon Hedrick-Shaw

Devon (he/him) earned his PhD in CU Boulder's School of Education specializing in bilingual teacher education. Formerly a Spanish/English bilingual teacher in New York City, Devon’s work is animated by commitments to transforming the educational experiences of multilingual children in US schools. His scholarship explores the critical preparation of teachers of multilingual learners and how teachers learn to take up agentive roles in relation to language policy. While language sits at the core of his work, Devon brings an intersectional approach to his scholarship to consider how our multiplicative identities play a role in language teaching and learning.
