Claudia Norez (she/hers/ella) is a Ph.D. student in Equity, Bilingualism, and Biliteracy in the School of Education. She was an elementary teacher for seven years in bilingual/dual language programs and served as a curriculum and instructional specialist for K-12 dual language programs. Her research interests focus on translanguaging, bilingual and biliterate pedagogies, language policy and planning, language ideologies, and teacher preparation for culturally and linguistically diverse education contexts. She is interested in exploring the intersections of language, race, gender, and class that Chicane/Latine educators navigate in educational settings.
