Stephanie Chasteen focuses on STEM educational reform, with a focus on faculty adoption of evidence-based teaching practices and institutional change. She is the associate director of the Science Education Initiative and the PI of the TRESTLE project which aims to broaden the use of research-tested teaching practices at the University of Colorado. In her consulting work, she provides evaluation for national educational projects including the American Physical Society, the American Association of Physics Teachers, and many universities around the country.
