Heather Lewandowski received her B.S. in Physics from Michigan Technological University in 1997 and a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado in 2002 working in the group of Eric Cornell. She started as an Assistant Professor at CU in 2005 focusing on experimental cold molecule physics. She is currently an Associate Professor of Physics and Fellow of JILA. Additionally, she is an Associate Chair of Physics and the Director of the Engineering Physics program. In 2011, she expanded her research portfolio to include PER. Her PER work focuses on student learning in laboratory courses, particularly at the upper-division level.
