Allie received her B.A. in physics from Mount Holyoke College in 2015. As an undergraduate, she completed the first senior thesis in physics education research at her college, studying student ability to relate vector representations of a physical situation to alternate representations of that same situation. After arriving at CU she shifted her research focus to faculty development programs; specifically, she studies online faculty learning communities. Allie is interested in how online communities can help faculty improve their teaching, and students improve their learning. Allie is also the graduate student mentor for the CU Undergraduate Women in Physics Group.
