I am the Head of Education and Outreach at the National Solar Observatory and am lucky enough to divide my time between Boulder, Colorado and Maui, Hawai’i where the NSO is building the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST, formerly ATST). Myself and my team are working towards leading the way in a new era of solar physics. I earned my Doctoral Degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland where I was researching the effects of solar flares and coronal mass ejections on the Sun's lower atmosphere. As an early career researcher, I spent some time working with the RHESSI X-ray satellite team at UC Berkeley before I found my path in science education. My science education experience has ranged from developing and implementing middle school curricula, teacher professional development initiatives, public outreach, international consultancy, and project management across a wide range of space-related topics.
