Student Poster Competition

Posters summarize projects, information, research, etc., concisely and attractively to help publicize it and generate discussion.

The poster is usually a mixture of a brief text mixed with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats.

Accepted posters will be presented in a poster session at RMACC; authors are present while other participants can view the presentation and interact with them.
The maximum presentation space for posters is 3.5 ft (1.1 m) wide by 4 ft (1.2 m) tall.

The  Poster Competition is for graduate and undergraduate students interested in high-performance computing. This competition enables students to share the results of projects that they have performed, while also engaging in a competition for the best posters.

Winning posters may have the opportunity to win a scholarship to attend a national HPC conference.

To participate in the poster session, students are required to:

  • Complete a project. Projects submitted must be original individual student work
  • Attend the RMACC HPC Symposium in-person
  • Attend a poster session for attendees and judges during the RMACC reception.
  • Prepare a 1-minute “lightning talk”/teaser about your poster and research to be presented in person at the conference
  • Create a poster and upload the PDF
  • Submit an abstract to the provided link. You can return later to upload the poster in PDF format. The website will recognize your e-mail address.
  • By submitting a poster for consideration, the student agrees that the poster can be displayed on the RMACC website.
