Brett Fiedler, Ph.D

Brett received his Ph.D in Physical Chemistry from University of Colorado at Boulder in 2017. Brett began with PISEC as a volunteer, before moving to a Graduate Coordinator position to assist in after-school site visits. Brett stepped into the role of the PISEC Coordinator after his graduate studies and a post-doc in the JILA and PER departments at CU Boulder. During his time with PISEC, his research focus was on the experience and perceptions of the youth participants in the PISEC program.

Brett is now a part of the PhET Interactive Simulations team at CU Boulder. He is involved with researching and designing new multimodal features for interactive science simulations, including new ways to interact with and get conceptual feedback from them, to provide all learners with access and learning opportunities with educational technology
