About the Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium (INC)

About the Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium (INC)
The Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium (INC) is a state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging research facility located at the University of Colorado Boulder. The INC brings together internationally recognized neuroscientists from across the Rocky Mountain region who study complex psychological processes such as addiction, pain, emotion, attention, sleep, and learning and memory, as well as physicists and engineers who study and develop innovative MRI methods and analysis techniques.
We believe a highly collaborative community benefits both scientists and the public. To that end we promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among area scientists and the broader Front Range and Colorado communities.
The Intermountain Neuroimaging Consortium is a full service, high-field MRI research facility with over 15 years of experience supporting a wide variety of human neuroimaging research and biomedical device testing. Our facilities and services enable clients to collect, manage, and analyze MRI data.
The research capabilities of INC include:
- A 3T Siemens MRI scanner and a team of MRI technologists, data scientists, and research assistants
- Support for both internal and external clients, including industry and federal agencies
- A safe research environment for visitors, participants, and staff
- MRI data acquisition and processing services
- Brain imaging sequences such as fMRI, DTI, and spectroscopy
- Human subjects support
- Data ingestion and quality assurance
- A collaborative and innovative brain imaging research community
Diversity of Research
We are equipped to perform a variety of studies on a variety of topics, methods, and populations at INC, including but not limited to:

Services & Programs
Scanning
INC researchers utilize multiple kinds of imaging to investigate brain activity and structure in healthy and clinical populations across all ages, from infants to older adults.
Data and Analysis
INC hosts a variety of data and analysis services. Clients do not need to scan with us in order to take advantage of these services (we have multiple ways of safely and securely transferring your scanner data onto our storage servers).
The INCternship Program
The INCternship Program is an internship that provides students with extensive training and knowledge of research and MRI equipment, including hands-on experience with research and MRI protocols, professional development, and leadership skills.
Additional Resources
