Juan is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. He completed his B.A. in Literature and Language Sciences at the Universidad Finis Terrae (Chile) and his M.A. at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His research studies the relationship between journalism, media and literary writing in Latin American 20th and 21st centuries.
Juan acted as graduate mentor to Gwendalynn Roebke.
